Professional Ship Simulator Early Access — 16 September 2026
Windows Steam, single-player, two maps, eight mission types, and a free demo already on the store.
Professional Ship Simulator’s Steam Early Access date is 16 September 2026. Aerosoft and SWE Systems announced it during GameStar’s Find Your Next Game Show and backed it with a release-date trailer. Until Steam starts selling the EA build, this wiki treats the paid game as upcoming. The free demo (Steam app 3971210) is the live product you can run today.

What Steam says you get on day one
The Early Access FAQ describes a foundation, not a finished academy:
- The hydrodynamic model (walk, bank effect, wind and current, anchors, lines).
- Two large sceneries: Rügen and the Strait of Dover.
- Eight mission types, plus a first set of tutorials and scenarios.
- A fleet that already spans workboats and merchants — see the ships hub — with more hulls planned.
Modding is not included at EA launch. The store page is blunt: custom ships, missions, scenery, sounds, and flags are planned soon after, via Unreal Engine integration. NMEA and GPX connections are part of the sim’s “talk to real hardware” story and should not be confused with a public workshop on day one.
Platforms, modes, languages
- Platform: Windows PC on Steam. Mac and Linux are not listed. Steam Deck compatibility was unknown at the time we checked.
- Mode: Single-player. Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing. Partial controller support. Single-player only.
- Engine: Unreal Engine 5.
- Languages: English with full audio (text-to-speech). Interface/subtitles also listed for French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Polish, and Russian.
There is no Roblox version. If a search result mixed this title with a mobile game, you are in the wrong tab.
Price and demo
The store payload we inspected while the game was still “coming soon” did not publish a locked-in price. The developer’s EA policy is that the price stays the same during Early Access and may change at full release. Ignore unofficial numbers until Steam shows a cart.
The demo is the rehearsal: tutorials, representative missions, a slice of the physics. It is also how you validate system requirements — Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, and an 8 GB GPU at minimum. If the demo already stutters in harbor, the EA water will not magically get cheaper.
How long Early Access lasts
SWE Systems say they plan to leave Early Access around mid-2027, strongly depending on community feedback. That is a target, not a store guarantee. The roadmap page lists the kinds of things they want to add: more ships, more missions, better tutorials, real-world-inspired scenarios, and the delayed mod tools.
Wishlist on the Steam store, join the Discord listed on official links, and keep this wiki for the practical guides. When the 16 September 2026 build goes live, the first patch note will land on this updates hub rather than in a social-media screenshot chain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you take the helm.
Is Professional Ship Simulator available for purchase today?
Not as a finished or Early Access paid product until 16 September 2026. Wishlist it, and play the free demo in the meantime.
Will the price rise after Early Access?
The team says EA pricing stays put during EA and may be adjusted at full release. Steam checkout is the only number that counts.
Is there a console or Roblox version?
No. This is a Windows Steam sim. Steam Deck support was listed as unknown.
Does Early Access include modding?
No. Modding is planned after launch into Early Access, not on day one.
